Angela Perone represents clients in employment law matters including discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, breach of contract, whistleblower/retaliation, leave of absence claims, wage and hour matters, and class action litigation. Prior to joining Rukin, Hyland, Doria, & Tindall, Angela completed a judicial clerkship at the San Francisco Superior Court's Law and Motion Department for the Honorable Ronald Quidachay and Honorable Patrick Mahoney and subsequently completed a fellowship at Equal Rights Advocates, where she supervised the advice and counseling program, conducted public education trainings on harassment and leaves of absence, and engaged in legislative advocacy and litigation on issues pertaining to sex discrimination in education and employment.
Angela graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Illinois with concentrations in Women's Studies, Afro-American Studies, and Political Science. Angela graduated from the University of California-Hastings College of Law as a Public Interest Law Foundation Fellow in 2006. While attending law school, Angela served as managing editor for the Hastings Women's Law Journal and completed legal internships at the Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center, Center for WorkLife Law, ACLU of Northern California, ACLU's National Legislative Office, and Equal Rights Advocates.
Angela is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, California Employment Lawyers Association and National Lawyers Guild, through which she has assisted with the Transgender Rights Project. Angela is also the author of several publications on issues pertaining to domestic violence, constitutional law, and sex discrimination.
